  Dead Rats Tutorial -

Since their inception 7 years ago (in 1997) BuBoNiC NATE and Dead Rats have constantly been on the cutting edge of punk rock.  They have proved themselves the kings of independent music time and time again.  They have released 2 EPs and 1 full-length album; they have currently finished recording their second full-length album with the help of Gary St. Clair (producer of ALL4ONE) and are searching for major label support for their new release.  They have opened for The Fat Wreck Chords Tour, Rise Against, Mad Caddies, Real McKenzies, Babyland, and The Dagons.  BuBoNiC NATE and Dead Rats’ sound is broad and includes noises similar to that of Screeching Weasel, Nirvana, Bad Religion, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Fugazi, and Gwar.  The band easily draws crowds of over 200 people at local shows alone, and while upholding a NO PAY-TO-PLAY ethic has also performed at The Viper Room, The Troubadour, Coconut Teazer, Mr. T’s Bowl, The Whiskey, Chain Reaction, The Shack, The Smell, Spaceland, The Gig,and Gilman Street Theater (San Francisco) along with college performances at UCLA, USC, CSUN and AVC. They have been featured several times on radio shows including 100.1 The Edge and 89.5 KCSN.  They were co-founders of No Exit Records (The largest record label local to the Antelope Valley) recording, producing and releasing over 15 LP’s and 20 EP’s with no outside funding.
